Founded in 1974, the Godstone Gardeners Club goes from strength to strength with a membership now of over 100.
We meet every first Wednesday in each month in the White Hart Barn at 8.00pm
We have a guest speaker – different every month – on a variety of topics, followed by time for socializing over a cup of tea and biscuits.  

Top drawer speakers have included Roy Lancaster, Tom Hart Dyke (of Lullingstone Castle fame), and such subjects as “Gardening without aches and pains” to “Up the garden Path” and “Gambling, Gardening and Exotica” - a very varied programme  of interest to all who take pleasure in anything growing.

In the spring we have a “Daffodil Challenge” against our friends at Hurst Green Gardening Club, for displays of daffs and other spring flowers. In late spring we hold our very popular Plant Sale for the Village and towards the end of summer hold our Flower and Vegetable Show. During the year we also have trips by coach to visit both private and well known gardens and even go away for a couple of longer distance trips, staying overnight. This year we go on tour to Somerset visiting a number of special gardens in that part of the world including East Lambrook Gardens and Hestercombe Gardens.  Among the day trips for 2011 we have Pashley Manor Tulip Festival, Exbury Gardens and Sandyhill Farm - the home of Rosemary Alexande 

As a Club we regularly enter competitions at both Hampton Court Flower Show and Chelsea and hold Silver and Bronze Medals to prove it !! But do not get the wrong idea -we are a down to earth, friendly bunch and take great joy in sharing “know-how”, tips and information with visitors and new members alike.
